about

Doug Abernathy was a lonely person. He had his file clerk job. He lived alone. While a nice person, he had trouble making friends. Like any average American, he was angered by many of the crimes that happen. But more so cyber-crimes, as the computer was his only friend.

Then a freak accident upon opening an application on his computer gave him the power to have out-of-body experiences at will and enter the computer, like a ghost.

Being that Doug was alive and had free will and thoughts, he could travel any where through the internet from computer to computer. He didn't need a password, as everything was open to him. He had to think what he wanted and he could go there. He was a living super-computer.

At first he uses these powers to play jokes and get even with his more crueler co-workers, but when he comes across posted child pornography, he traces it to it's source and calls the police, resulting in arrests and saving children.

Now Doug is using his powers from the application to help find missing people, locate rouge criminals and even stop a few terrorist.

But the F.B.I. is curious to how Doug knows all this when he never leaves his house. And when Doug uncovers a dark secret that he can do nothing about, but threatens the very fabric of America, how can he get help? And is there another person like Doug stalking him in the world of the internet? And will he be able to get back should something happen to his meditating body?

All this and more in "THE APPLICATION"!
